Creative Action
These days, everyone is overloaded with information. We see, hear, and read huge volumes of information on a diverse range of topics. If we want other people to listen to us, we need to do or say something that will grab their attention long enough for them to get our main message. We need to be creative. Some pointers for developing creative action:
- link the creative action to the key message you are trying to get across;
- make sure the action is not offensive. Be sensitive to race, culture, age, gender, and sensibilities;
- the creative action may be in design, shape, or content of banners, billboard or other visual media. It doesn';t have to be theatrical;
- research the actions of others eg Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr, to get ideas.
